I am Kenny Kilfoyle and im part of the helpdesk team. Im exited as well as interesed to begin learning about all things technology. Im not the most knolagable about coding or anything crarzy but I am a fast learner. I am interested in video games. Im not elite by any means it is more of a hobby or passtime of you will. Regardless I am exited to continue to learn about coding and becoming a member of the helpdesk team.
REFLECTION

last week we used a program called Sweet Home 3D. It allows you to make a 3D model of a house. Within the program I was able to create a one floor house with a bathroom, bedroom, living room, Kitchen and a garage. The site was very user friendly and easy to use. All in all it was a good experience.
REFLECTION
This week we learned about coding games using unity. We went threw the turtorials and things to learn the program. We had to do verious tasks such as add a ridged body to a box so it fell or slow down an CPU so he doesnt kill you. It was an interesting activity to do becasue i have never done somthing like that before.

The last few weeks have been great. We had some classes come down to the help desk for S.T.E.M week. They used the playstation VR and played beat saber. Also this week we have been working on a Chatbot. We used amazons lex as a base and built on it. Me and Gage who im working with are working on a Fortnite tips chatbot. we also used the Maki Maki to plat Pac Man using plato and copper tape. All and all it has been a productive last few weeks.

In help desk i have been working on my individual learning indever. My project is to recreate my house on the aplication sweet home. This is an app that lets you make 3D homes. so for my project I am getting measurments of my home ad then using said measurments to recreate a model of my house. This will be interesting and fun to acomplish and i look forward to getting this done.

WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH THIS VERY INTERESTING APPLICATION CALLED COSPACES. COSPACES IS AN APP THAT USES AR AND VR TECHNOLOGIES TO HELP CREATE DIFFERENT GAMES OR ENVIRONMENTS WITHIN THE PROGRAM. MYSELF AND ROBERT DID A REMIX OF AN ALREADY EXISTING GAME WITHIN COSPACES. WE STARTED WITH THE BASE WHIP-OUT GAME AND LOOKED TO MAKE IT MORE CHALLENGING THAN IT WAS. WITH THE CODING ASPECTS OF COSPACES WE WERE ABLE TO INCREASE THE SPEEDS OF VARIOUS OBSTICULS THAT WERE THROWN IN THE PLAYERS WAY. WE ALSO ADDED MANY DIFFERENT THING THAT ALREADY EXISTED IN COSPACES SUCH AS A PIRATE SHIP AND A ROCKETSHIP INTO OUR WHIP-OUT REMIX. WE ACTUALLY CODED THE ROCKET SO IF YOU CLICK ON THE DOOR THAT THE ROCKET WOULD CLOSE. ALL IN ALL COSPACES WAS DIFFERENT AND IT REMINDED ME OF A MORE KID FRIENDLY VERSION OF UNITY.

The last few weeks have been very surreal. Just 2 weeks ago I was excited that we wouldn't have school for 3 weeks now we are out of school until at least may 4th. It's crazy how things can change so fast like a month ago the virus wasn't even in the United States now there have been 5000 people who have died because of it. The only semi positive thing to come out of this is having some free time. I usually am a pretty busy person and I don't get free time. but I now have all the time in the world. A new challenge with this pandemic is the distance learning system. I'm not a huge fan of the video calls if much rather be in an actual classroom but you have to play the card you're dealt. I'm sure as the weeks go on I will grow more accustomed to it and hopefully it stops feeling so different.
DISTANCE LEARNING WEEK 2
This week I think I'll so a game review. Although it is an older game GTA 5 is one Myself and some friends of mine keep finding ourselves playing over this "vacation" if you could even call it that. The game is nearly 7 years old but has unlimited possibilities. In the open world setting You can race supercars, play blackjack or three card pocket in the casino, become a biker gang, do guests there are lots of things you can do. But usually we find ourselves doing the most stupid thing you could do like fighting each other or crashing into each other's cars. GTA is very good for large groups of people because a single session can hold up to 30 people. Also if graphics is your thing they are good but not as good as Rockstars newest game Red Dead Redemption 2 but very good for a game of it's age. All in all I always have a blast playing this game with my friends and I have for the last 5 years the pure replayability itself makes this game so great this game is definitely a 10/10.
DISTANCE LEARNING WEEK 3
This week I'll do a review for Google hangouts. So in my 3 weeks or so of using Google Hangouts it's been pretty good. The calls themselves have been pretty good video and audio quality. the only thing is the struggle of switching to online learning. Luckily it has been relatively easy and seamless. The only flaw I have seen with Google Hangouts so far is the fact that the teacher or starter of the call can't mute people. This could be an issue if they want everyone to be quite as they are teaching and they can't mute everyone. All in all my Google Hangouts experience has been good I would probably rate it a 4 out of 5.
DISTANCE LEARNING WEEK 4
This week I'll do a reweiw on Madden 20. Madden 20 is a simulation football game that is created by EA sports. Within the games you can control your favorite NFL players in many different game modes. Madden 20 has 5 main game modes. There is Play now, MUT, QB1, Franchise and Superstar KO. First is Play now. In the play now game mode you just pick your favorite team and play verse a friend or a random person. Next is MUT or Madden Ultimate Team. in MUT you use in game currency called MUT coins to buy player cards of your favorite players to have on your team then you can play other's with your MUT team. QB1 is where you create your very own QB and play through some collage games and then go threw the draft process and get drafted. Franchise mode is my personal favorite game mode. You are the GM of any team you would like in the NFL you can trade anybody and make anyteam you want. You can also do a fantasy draft where you can draft from every player in the NFL. The last game mode is Superstar KO. I'm not a huge fan of this one but you pick from 8 teams coached by a player or celebrity with limited playbooks. Then you get to draft a player from the screen where 4 player pop up. once you get 3 players you compete in overtime fashion where you need a touchdown but count kick a feild goal. The twist once you score you need to go for 2. then your opponent gets the ball back after and if they don't score the game is over. you play until you get 5 wins or until you lose because if you lose you need to re-pick and redraft. In conclusion Madden 20 is a very fun game and has kept me very entertained during this quarantine. Madden 20 is about an 8/10
DISTANCE LEARNING WEEK 6​
Rainowsix Siege or R6 is an extremely fun tactical shooter that has its own twist to it. In R6 there are two teams of 5 people who can choose between 54 different characters with their own perks to them.There are 27 Attacking operators and 27 defending operators who all have different special abilitys. For example Sledge who is one of the character pictured on the left has a Sledge hammer that can break the walls and baracades of the map. So that way the game works is there are two teams that are the attacking and defending teams. you start the game by picking your operatior and then the defending team goes into prep phase where they get 40 seconds to place There equipment and traps down while the attacking team gets to use little RC drones to scope out and find the area they have to get to. after that the attackers are allowed to come and try to take the objective, the hostage or plant the bomb depending on the gamemode. In every game mising killing everyone on the enemy team results in a win but the attacking team can win in 3 different way for the three different gamemodes by securing an uncontested area, retrieving the hostage or planting the bomb and not having it dissarmed. Overall r6 is a well rounded and tactical game that is very fun to play if say a 7/10.
DISTACE LEARNING WEEK 7
The game Call of Duty War zone has been a big part of my quarintine. Cod warzone is a free battle Royal much like fortnite but under the franchise name of call of duty. Similarly to fortnite you and your squad drop down and try to take out the other players to win the game. the difference is there is no building only squads of three and there is a Gulag system. The Gulag in warzone a is special because if you die you are sent to the Gulag were a wepond is randomly given to you and your opponent you are then tasked with 1v1 combat against that person winner gets to redeploy into the warzone and loser is dead unless his team has 45 hundred dollars to bring him back. In conclusion I've had tons of fun on warzone and I'd rate it a 9/10
DISTANCE LEARNING WEEK 8
NBA 2k20 is a basketball agme with many gamemodes. There is Play now, MYteam, MYcareer, MYGM and MYleague. I'll start with play now in this gamemodes you play against a friend or the CPU with either NBA or WNBA teams. In addition to just teams you can play blacktop and choose any players from any time in basketball history to be on your team. Next is MYcareer. In this gamemodes you create your build or arcitype of the player you want to brand threw playing the game your player gets better and better. You select what team you want to play for and try to win them all championship. You can also play at the park with this player which is an online basketball place with many courts that you can play with your friends at. In MYGNM you are the general manager of a selected organisation you take care of the funding as well as business side of basketball and if you do a bad job you get fired. In my opinion a better version of MYGM is MYleague. In this you are the owner of the team you call all the shots who you trade for, what coached you hire what offensive style you want to run and many more things. You can also play as your team in this gamemodes which is a big plus in my opinion. In summation NBA 2k20 is a solid game and I would give it a 7/10
HELPDESK YEAR 2
Post 1
This week we have been learning / Relearning drone safety as well as how to fly a drone. We have also learned about getting a drone license and how you cannot fly above 400 feet without one. Also we leaden that for some flights you might need to contact a local airport to make sure that you have permission to fly. We used an app that at the moment I can't recall the name of to see where no fly zones were and identify were we could fly. Then we took the Mavik outside and flew it around taking pictures of the trees as well as the student parking lot with the camera on the front. We also attempted to live stream from the drone but I don't think our classes stream ended out working. This was a good refresher and at the same time I picked up some new knowledge along the way.
CS ED WEEK
CS ED week in my opinion went really well. Before the week even started Adam and I create a google slides presentation on Ready Maker. We made timestamps on the pong video for a more user friendly experience rather than watching a 20 minute video. Also the speakers week awesome. One my in person day I got to watch the recording of Yanti Arifin who works at Desktop Metal and she talked about how her company uses 3D printers to create metal parts. Then on my remote day he joined a google meet with Jade Brewer who is a drone pilot at GraVoc. she talked all about the logistics of commercial drone flying and how you need to seek permission to fly in some airspaces. She also showed us a video the took of Gronk in a tank. All in all CS ED week in my opinion was a huge success.
CYBER SECURITY
In my forth term of Help Desk we talked about Cyber Security for the first time. While it was for only about a class it was an interesting conversation. We learned about the importance of giving out as little info about yourself online as you possibly can. A great tip Mr. Wong gave was too uses a Password organizer so that if a hacker gets one password they don't have all of your logins. I also found it very interesting that Governments did not have super good Cyber Security. The video we watched in class about how one person caught a hack within the government and saved a lot of data being leaked to other nations. After this incident country's increased their Cyber Security.
AI
Over the last few weeks we have talked about Ai and how it will effect the future. One of the main talking point in class is always how can we work and co exist with Ai. This is an interesting question because in all media and movies Ai or more specificlly, robots are portrayed as evil and are seen in a dystopian future. But as I learned Ai is as of right now more of a tool than a Sentient Being. Amazon uses Ai robots to help deliver items to Amazon employees to help make their jobs easier. This is the way Ai should be used. Ai should be a tool not a replacement of humans because although computers can beat a chess grand master there are still some things Ai cant do.
